Kickstarter!

We're so excited to announce that our Kickstarter pledge drive has finally launched! We really like kickstarter.com as a fundraising venue because it fosters creative projects, and creates a venue for a wide range of donors, honoring small to large donation amounts. We have a bunch of awesome handmade goodies offered as rewards for donations, and will be posting updates as we go. Our drive runs for 60 days (ending on September 29th) and we are trying to raise $10,000, which would be a huge step for us in terms of creating a sustainable framework for Produce to the People.

We need your help! Fundraising through Kickstarter is all or nothing, meaning that if we don't make our goal, we don't get any of the pledge money. So please check it out and make a pledge if you're able. And most importantly, please PASS IT ON, far and wide! Please forward this email along to your friends, family and anyone you know that might be interested, post a link on your facebook, twitter, etc. The link is as follows:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1216293948/produce-to-the-people-community-through-food.

We are definitely trying to raise funds through this campaign, but we are also trying to raise awareness, meet new people who are interested in food justice, gleaning and gardening, local food systems, and youth and community development, so please help us make connections and garner support! We really appreciate you taking the time to check it out and send it along, this has been a few months in the making and we're thrilled to see it active, and will be even more thrilled to see the progress!
